効率化が叫ばれるこの現代で、なかなか自分の思ったことを実行に移すことは難しい。やることなすことにこれをすることによってどれだけのメリットがあるのか。費用対効果はどの程度かという説明責任が発生することもしばしば。組織の中で自分のやりたいことをやるためにはネゴシエーションや工夫が必要となる。最近までは顧客付きのグレード開発だったということもあり、そのあたりはあまり意識せずに仕事を進めることが多かった。しかし、ちょうど4月の異動で少し基礎よりの研究をすることになった。主な仕事は以前から続いているテーマのため、それを進めていくことになる。一方で、自分からテーマの提案をすることも必要だと感じており、テーマの意義の説明含めての難しさを感じている。
一方で自分のポジショニングについても悩むことが多くなってきた。それは自分の仕事の姿勢に関して葛藤があるからだと思う。具体的な内容は出世を望むか否かである。出世できる能力があるかどうかは一旦置いておく。最近労働にコスパを求める人が増えてきていると感じている。この場合のコスパとは出世して管理職になると残業時間の概念がなくなり、時間当たりの収入で考えた際に出世に魅力に感じなくなることである。確かに金銭面という観点からは自分の働いている会社では部長以上に出世できないと時給は出世しないときとあまり変わらない。
このようにコスパだけで考えるとあまりうまみは感じられない。しかし、金銭だけが報酬ややりがいではない。だから自分がこのように考えてしまうというのは、今の仕事にやりがいを見いだせずモチベーションが低くなってしまっているのだと思う。そこで、ChatGPTにモチベーションの維持について聞いてみた。6つの方法があるということで、①目標を明確にする、②目標達成のメリットを考える、③小さな目標を設定する、④ポジティブな言葉を使う、⑤休息をとる、⑥周りの人に支援してもらうの6つ。この中で自分にとって足りないなと感じたのは小さな目標を設定するとポジティブな言葉を使うということだと感じた。小さい目標で小さな達成感を少しずつ得る。その際にポジティブに考えることで小さな達成感を増幅していく。完璧主義的に考えるのはやめて自分できたことを認めていって上げられれば良いのかもしれない。
