考え方がすべてともいえる
精神障害の人たちは自分自身の世界を捉える考え方が、通常の人と比べるとかなり歪んでいることが多い。私も今の環境では生き辛い考え方をしており、今の考え方のままではこのまま同じ仕事を続けることは難しいと感じている。とにかく、人のことを気にしてしまうし、自分に対するネガティブな評価に敏感である。
どんなことをやっていても100％肯定されるようなことなんてない。それは文脈として理解はしているはずでも、自分のこととなるといちいち気にしてしまう。そもそも、他人がそんなに自分のことを考えていると思うこと自体が傲慢なんだろう。私も他人のことを見ている方だとは思うが、やっぱり自分のことの方が大事。
生活をしていると、他人はこう思っているだろうと勝手に思うことはよくある。おそらく、普通の人よりかは精度が高いと思っているが、それでも外れていることは意外と多い。仲の良い友達でもそんなもん。ましてや職場の人なんかバックグラウンドも知らないし、話している時間も短い。自分が思った相手の考えていることなんて当たるはずがない。それくらいに思っていた方がいい。
もっと自分が幸せに生きられる考え方について、真剣に考えるべきだろう。自分の性格の根っこの部分は変わらないかもしれない。しかし、自分の性格を理解して、外部環境からのどのような刺激で自分の内部でどのような反応をしてしまうのか。私の脳という関数がインプットに対してどのようなアウトプットを返すのか。変な係数が入っていたり、数値が極端だったりすると今の環境にあっていないアウトプットを出してしまう。客観的に見たときにそれが矯正した方がよければ、改善していく。そうやって自分が今の環境で生きていくのに快適な考え方をインストールする。
周りのことを気にするのはある意味大切ではある。しかし、周りの評価を気にしすぎるということは自分が大切にしたいことを大切にできないということでもある。その生活が続くと自己肯定感が低下してくるのも当然かもしれない。焦らず、前向きに人生を歩めるように努力していきたい。
