幸運にも企業から内々定をいただくことが出来たら10月の初めに内定式に呼ばれることになると思います。今日はその話をしたいと思います。
意外とみっちりスケジュール
午前中に移動して昼に集合場所に行きました。その日の内容としてはまず偉い方のお話、内定書授与があり、4月までの課題を渡されました。この辺りはどこの企業でも同じだと思います。次に工場を見学させてもらったり、寮の説明をしてもらいました。メーカーの宿命かもしれませんが、寮の周辺はあんまり何もなかったです。そして最後に懇親会で一日は終了でした。話を聞いて内定書をもらうだけだと思っていたので思ったよりか色々やるんだなと感じました。
しゃべれる人になりたい
懇親会では当たり前ですが、社員の方も来ます。社員の方は年齢に幅があり、特に2周り以上年上の人との会話が難しいなと感じました。向こうから特に会話を振ってくるわけでもなく、とはいっても自分から何を話せばいいのかもよく分からず面接みたいな感じになってしまいました。今振り返ってみれば研究室のスタッフを除くと研究室で生活している分には年上の人と接する機会が極端に少なかったんだなと思いました。色んな年齢、バックグラウンドを持つ人とでも雑談ができる力は大事です。
同期とはある程度しゃべっといたほうが良い
4月にまた会った時にあまりにも覚えていないとお互い気まずかったのでどんな話をしたのかを覚えておくとよかったです。とは言ってもまた研修中に色々な話をするので、そこまで問題はないと思います。文系の人も研修では一緒なのでその時にできるだけ全員と話すのが良いと思います。特に文系の人は配属された部署が全く違い、関わる機会が少なくなりますが、年次が上がるにつれてその部署で関わる機会が増え、その際に同期がいると情報を得やすいなどの話を聞きました。もちろん会社によって違いますが、ある程度話ができる程度には仲良くなったほうがいいと思いました。
ざっくりとポイントだけ挙げましたが、みんな状況は同じなのでそこまで気負う必要もないと思います。
